GREATLY EXCITED BY THE WORD!
AUGUST
“For the word of God is living and active and full of power ….” Hebrews 4:12 AMP
About five years ago, I had a minor accident on my right ankle, it was so bad that instantly, I began to limp. By that night, my ankle was swollen and was almost twice of the original size. The pain was so severe that I could not sleep, rolling from one side of the bed to the other. Going on crutches was imminent as a broken bone was suspected. Two days after, I had an important programme that going on crutches might impede. So, I opted to stand on the Word of God, instead.
Psalm 34 verse 20 became handy "He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.” I could not remember how many times I claimed this verse. Although the pain was severe, I trusted that the Word of God is true; "it is living, active, and full of power." Few days later, I was completely healed. Alleluia!
When last did you react to the word of God with great excitement? People react with excitement to the Scripture not to create a scene, but because God has opened their eyes to some mysteries that others are yet to see. That is revelation!
It was possible for me to regard Psalm 34 verse 20 as only applicable to Jesus and that this was already accomplished on the cross. Yes, if treated medically, I would be healed, and that was the right and an easy option. But the truth is, if the Word of God was not activated, powerful as it is; I would have lost the benefits of what the Word could accomplish.
I share the sentiment that our level of understanding differs because the Word of God is enshrouded in unparalleled mysteries. But you can deepen your own understanding by asking the Holy Spirit to reveal the mysteries that surround the Word of God you read or hear to you. Even the Scriptures you are already familiar with, there are more mysteries surrounding them than you can imagine!
Beloved, does the Word of God excite you greatly? Don't just read the Word of God; earnestly ask the Holy Spirit for revelation from the Word and look for the opportunity to appropriate it to your life. May God open your eyes to the mysteries in His Word and may you have fresh revelation from His Word daily. Henceforth, I pray for you for the grace to be Greatly Excited By The WORD in Jesus’ Name.
Experiencing the TRUE GOD.
