LEGAL TENDER
“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering....” (James 1:6 KJV)
Any game without the dos and don’ts will be unfairly practised and end up being chaotic. So is every society. There has to be an agreeable means of settling debts and acquiring what you crave for. What is a must in every society is the choice of a currency by which goods and services are acquired and sustained. This is called the Legal Tender.
Legal Tender is the officially recognized money that a country or jurisdiction must accept for settling debts and financial obligations within its borders. By law and practice, no matter how desperate you may be in need, without the Legal Tender, you are sure to get nothing.
It will interest you to know that as countries have their individual Legal Tender, so it is in the Kingdom of GOD. The writer of Hebrews noted that without faith it is impossible to please GOD. (Heb 11:6). Apostle James also remarked that if you want to get anything from God, you MUST ask in faith without doubting. (Jam 1:6). Else, such one would leave disappointed.
The inference is that there is an authentic way of getting the right answers from God. That sure way is to take FAITH (Legal Tender) along as you approach God’s throne with a request. But thank goodness – contrary to the common practice in our world, that little Legal Tender you have in God’s kingdom is able to move mountains and accomplish mammoth feats. Jesus said, “.... If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (Mat 17:20 KJV)
Beloved, do you need promotion? Do you need healing? Do you need restoration? Are you broken-hearted? Do you need fruitfulness? Is it loneliness? Do you want to experience an unprecedented move of GOD in your circumstance? I adjure you to stop at nothing; approach the throne of GOD in FAITH, which is our Legal Tender, and I trust God to settle you beyond your imagination. As you approach with the Legal Tender today, you shall not be put to shame in Jesus Name. AMEN.
GIVE THE BASE NOTES THE PROMINENCE.
“A person’s own foolishness ruins his life. But in his mind he blames the Lord for it.” (Proverbs 19:3 ICB)
Perfumes are designed to be of three layers known as the Perfume Pyramid, comprising the Top Notes, the Middle Notes, and the Base Notes.
Upon application of perfumes, the first scents you smell are lighter and evaporate quickly. This is called the Top Notes. The Top Notes are comparable to the nature or character of an individual.
What you notice next is the Middle Notes, also known as the Heart Notes. These are the core of the fragrance and are generally richer and more complex. Essentially, the Middle Notes are the conscious level where goal-directed actions and behaviours take place. It is where we develop strategies and execute actions to achieve our goals.
The last of the pyramid is the Base Notes. These are the foundation of the fragrance and the last to evolve. They are heavy and long-lasting.
According to this analogy, God is supposed to be our Base Notes. Our Foundation. The unceasing Fountain we draw from. John 1:16 says, “And of his fullness have all we received....”
Unfortunately, we often ignore our foundation in our decision-making. We allow the Top Notes and the Middle Notes to override the efficacy of the Base Notes which are strong, stable, sure, and long-lasting. Sadder still, the moment we run into trouble, we throw it back at God, indicting the One who is our foundation for the wrong choice we made. Beloved, most of the difficulties we face today is the result of our folly of yesterday. Yet, we blame God and wonder if He still loves us.
Henceforth, I urge you to give God, the Base Notes, The Prominence. And I pray that for any difficulty you may be facing as a result of your folly; God of mercy will rescue you and give you complete victory in Jesus’ Name.
WillingNESS + Obedience = Good (of the land)
“If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.” (Isaiah 1:19 AKJV)
God does not bully people into obedience because he gave every man a soul. When the Israelites were going to be rescued from slavery, God was so concerned, "And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people.... I am come down to deliver them.... and to bring them up out.... to a land flowing with milk and honey...." (Exo 3:7-8 NKJV)
Moses raised a concern. He said that the people will not believe him. God could have mandated them to believe in Moses. Rather, He gave Moses a set of signs and miracles to perform. They were to witness these signs and miracles and develop the willingness to be free from slavery. Then, they must obey divine direction to enjoy the Good of the Land.
I don't know how much impact this verse of Scripture has on you. Are you willing? There is an adage, 'If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.' Anyone may aspire to have anything, but you MUST back your willingness up with an action of obedience. Willingness is good but insufficient to yield the Good of the Land.
What about Obedience? Being obedient is a great virtue. But your obedience must combine with willingness. No wonder, a lot of Christians today can be boastful of their obedience to God. Undoubtedly, they have been made rich spiritually and otherwise. Yet, they languish in abject poverty. Why? They fail to add willingness to their obedience. Willingness to ask. Willingness to act. Willingness to plunder.
Beloved, God is a God of principles. That verse of the Scripture can be mathematically represented as,
Willingness + Obedience = Good (of the land)
Are you willing? You must also be obedient. Are you obedient? Then, you must be willing. Do not allow the devil to steal your joy. Anything short of this equation will yield nothing but disappointment. I pray that you will not labour in vain in Jesus' Name. AMEN.
IT IS TIME TO PROPHESY!
“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28 KJV
When we obey divine direction, we align ourselves with His purpose and position ourselves to reap the reward of obedience. "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land" (Isa 1:19 KJV)
Prophetic Worship Service is not a man's concept. It is neither a practice to conform to tradition nor a human scheme to gather a crowd. No. It is a divine direction.
You may be wondering: Is there anything to celebrate in the world we live in today? Truly, the world of today is more confusing than it has ever been in history. War without and fear within have become the norm. Perhaps, uncertainty is more realistic than the air we breathe. Circumstances that offered hope in the past are now the key source of failure and disappointment. There are more questions than answers.
But something is certain – the Almighty God is all-knowing. He had the foreknowledge of how our world would be today. The prevailing circumstance is never a surprise to Him. If He has ordered this programme and ordained you to be part of it, He has a purpose.
The word Prophetic is an adjective of the word prophecy. According to the Greek meaning in the New Testament, Prophecy is a discourse emanating from divine inspiration and declaring the purposes of God. Invariably, irrespective of the prevailing circumstances, God has sent you to this service to speak things into existence by His inspiration.
I therefore encourage you to be sensitive. Do not hold back. As you begin to prophesy through your Praise and Worship, I see your positive pronouncements being established. I see doors of greatness open unto you on their own accord. I see you have joy without bounds. I see you being promoted beyond disgrace. And I see dry bones become a great army in Jesus' Name. AMEN. Beloved, IT IS TIME TO PROPHESY!
