BE RULER-MINDED
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Gen 1:26 KJV)
God's expression is this: "O ye man, Grow in number. Fill the earth and rule over it. Rule over the fish of the seas and over the birds of the sky. Rule over every different living animal that moves on the ground. Look! I give you every plant on the earth that has seeds in it. I give you every tree that has fruit with a seed in it. They are yours. The seeds and fruits will be food for you as well. (Gen 1:28-29 paraphrased)
Unlike all other creatures, God gave man responsibility over all the things He created. But do you realise that a lot of people fail to see the picture?
There's something we refer to today as Activity of Daily Living (ADL). The activities involve simple tasks as bathing or washing yourself, brushing teeth, caring for your hair, dressing up, toileting, feeding, transferring from one place to the other, and the likes. These are basic activities that can keep you going and make life easy and enjoyable for yourself. Yet, a lot of people are failing! The reason why they fail is not because they don't have the capacity, but because they are simply lazy or complacent. To keep the simplest rule of hygiene is a difficult exercise!
Listen, if you have the ability to complete these set of tasks but neglect them because of laziness or complacency, I wonder how you can excel in the original position God ordained for you at creation. Don't be deceived, God is not lazy. He challenged Prophet Jeremiah,
"If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? ...." (Jer 12:5 AKJV)
As today marks the beginning of the Advent with the symbolic colour purple, I admonish you to shun laziness and complacency, and embrace hope, peace, joy, love, diligence and elegance as a royal and ruler-minded Christian. Shalom.

ARE YOU A ROMANS 8:14 CHRISTIAN?
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Rom 8:14 KJV)
John Bunyan was classified as a nonconformist zealot with puritan beliefs. This English writer wrote The Pilgrim’s Progress which is one of the most popular Christian literatures of all times.
In that book, John established the concept of every Christian going on a pilgrimage. This can be likened to the story of the Israelites in the book of Numbers. According to divine instruction, Moses sent out men to Canaan for espionage. God already gave them prior information about the land that it was a land flowing with milk and honey – a desirable land to possess. It was referred to as a Promised Land.
Out of the 12 people sent out by Moses on this mission, only Joshua and Caleb came back with good reports. Others gave negative reports that instilled fear and discouragement in the hearts of people, which stirred up rebellion. As a result, a great number of people perished. Only Joshua and Caleb made it to the Promised Land.
The reason for the victory of the twosome is not farfetched. Numbers 14:24 says,
“But because My servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows Me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it”
In other words, it was a Spirit, different from the spirit that led others, that led Caleb and Joshua. That was the Spirit of God!
There’s always conflicts between fear and faith. Many failed to enter their own Promised Land because they failed to be led by the Spirit but by flesh. Flesh breeds fear. Fear prevents people from entering into God’s Promised Land for them because you can only access it by faith.
Beloved, do you want to enter into your Promised Land? I admonish you to commit yourself to being a Romans 8:14 man and woman. This is where your victory lies. I pray you will reach there safely and eat the good of the land in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.
You Are A Light
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
(Matt 5:14 KJV)
Someone once said, ‘Light does not battle with darkness; it simply dispels darkness!’ Alleluia!
Jesus wouldn't have presented it clearer than as recorded in the Gospels:
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” Mat 5:14 KJV
If there's anything children of God must be conscious of, it’s that they are light, and light cannot cohabit with darkness.
The mentality of today’s Christianity is, it doesn’t matter, God only looks at your heart. But to start with, is your heart right with God? You belong to the libertine movement where everything goes! You speak the way unbelievers speak! You wear the same clothes unbelievers wear! You eat and drink the same way the unbelievers do! No practise found with unbelievers is a ‘no go’ for you: In fact, you are full of worldly clichés as unbelievers do! The only testimony you have is the profession you make from your own mouth; "I am a Christian." No wonder, being surrounded by the hosts of Heaven, you're still afraid and living in absolute confusion. You have all the help within, you're searching one without.
The Apostle Paul said,
"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" (2Co 6:14 KJV)
How much does a verse of the Scripture like this mean to you? If you are an overcomer in God's term, it is over everything not a few. Repent of your compromises today. God has made you a light and you are ordained to dispel darkness. So, take position; You Are A Light.
WATCH THE LORD FIGHT FOR YOU
“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:14 KJV)
In 1994, Clemens Westerhof led Nigeria to its first-ever World Cup appearance. Nigeria was in group D together with the world football giants such as Argentina, Bulgaria, and Greece.
When Nigeria was preparing to meet Argentina at the group stage, Clemens was interviewed and was asked how he thought his team would ever qualify, meeting the world-recognised teams at the early stage of the tournament. They asked the Nigerian manager that question because, Nigerian team was seen as an underdog, the would-be weeping baby of the group. The interview was more or less a taunting of a team that had one in a lifetime experience. Can they ever manage it?
But Clemens’ persuasion was different. His response was, ‘Big names don’t win matches,’ and he stood by his statement. He preferred not to entertain excessive talking, believing that the talking should rather be done on the field of play. After the contests of the group stage, it was incredible to see Nigeria top the table.
Beloved, are you weary? Are you facing harassment? Are you heavy-hearted? Are you surrounded by circumstances that the enemy already told you would drown you? Listen, the only valid pronouncement is the one from God your father. Therefore, hold your peace and watch the LORD fight for you.
As you make that decision, I see every challenge before you become the path to your ultimate fulfilment. You will not fail. Circumstances will not fail you. In the way you never dreamt of, God will come through for you. Over every affair of your life, God will give you unexplainable victories in Jesus Name. AMEN.
DESPITE THE ATTEMPTS!
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].”
(Psalms 91:1 AMP)
Look closely at this verse. The expression is so profound and persuasive. It may be an expression from personal experience. It does not look like a suggestion but a reality. The writer was convinced that if anyone chooses to dwell in the secret place of God, the Most High, he or she will enjoy, as bonus, basking in His shadow where no power of the enemy can harass.
Ruminate over this for a moment. Has this ever been true? Consider the life of David, who appeared to be the probable writer of this psalm.
In Biblical narration, the Benjaminites are renowned for their exceptional skill in using the bow and arrow. They were formidable warriors. King Saul too, was from this tribe. How many times did he throw an arrow to kill David?
King Saul made 14 recorded attempts on David’s life, and threw a javelin to kill him, at least three times. Saul’s attempts are probably more. But have you ever stopped to ask why none of these attempts worked, especially from a man of war like Saul? How come he was never able to hit target for once, despite being so skilled at it? It is not about David’s power but about the man who chose to be resident in the secret place of God!
Despite Saul being highly skilled in using the bow and arrow, the LORD delivered David. Several attempts were made on David’s life, but the LORD rescued him. As this season of protection and provision continues, the LORD will protect you from seen and unseen tragedy. Shame and failure will not locate you. You shall not be a victim of ridicule. God will meet ALL your needs in a unique fashion this season and beyond in Jesus’ Name.
Beloved, when you thank God for deliverance, your knowledge is only limited to those attempts you are aware of. Despite the attempts they made on your life, you are still here, basking in His shadow. So, on a special day as this, I admonish you to thank GOD Despite The Attempts.
Experiencing the TRUE GOD.
