YOUR WORK SHALL BE REWARDED!

Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded. (2Ch 15:7 KJV)
Reward is defined as something of value given in return for an act.
There was an exchange of words between two men; a military officer and an old minister. The military man said to an excellent, but old and frail minister in the North of Scotland, “Why, if I had power over the pension list, I would have you put on half-pay for your long and faithful services.”
Reacting to his speech, the minister responded, “Ah, my friend, your master may put you off with half-pay, but my Master will not serve me so meanly; He will give me full-pay.”
Beloved it is not a frivolous assertion from God when He said, “.... for your work shall be rewarded.” God did not have to impress you with those words. What He said is exactly what He means – your work shall be rewarded. And I pray, that is your portion.
But you can’t play down on the first part of that statement – Let not your hands be weak. Simply put, if that reward will come as I have pronounced, then, your hands cannot afford to be weak.
David wrote in one of his Psalms,
“Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight” 144:1 KJV
I pray God Himself strengthens your hands to good works. He will teach your hands to war and your fingers to fight. God in His might will cause you to receive, not just a reward, but full reward in accordance to His express design. Your work shall be rewarded. The reward will bring honour to God. And you shall not loose that reward in the Name of Jesus. AMEN!
